About the Designer
Marilyn Garcia, (AKA Cookie) began sewing at the age of 13. She always loved to make costumes and performance wear. Throughout her teenage years she worked closely with her father designing quality leather goods. Her love for the music industry and high fashion was always a part of her life. Marilyn worked as a model, dancer and had many job titles in the festival circuit. Cookie Pax began when Marilyn started to make custom hoods for festivals and as gifts for friends. When the LED star backpack became a popular and useful accessory while working as Ground Control for Insomniac. She realized the importance of functional fashion. Now, Marilyn works as an educator and a designer full time. All of her leather goods are designed by her and manufactured by her father's company Sergios Collection.
